Wednesday morning

It is Wednesday morning here and the wind is blowing. It is supposed to rain but it hasn't started yet. The guys went fishing yesterday....Don was the lucky one to catch the 6-7# salmon. He said it cut nicely into 4 big chunks for their freezer.
Connie and I took a "scouting out Kenai" ride yesterday afternoon and found the nice Safeway in Kenai and also the Quilt shop. Imagine that! We actually happened to just drive by it and didn't realize it till we had gotten past. They had a huge selection of fabric!

After supper last night we decided to take a drive to see if we could see the Beluga whales in the Cook Inlet.... we finally found the place where they are to congregate and didn't see anything. It is in Kenai which is only about 4 miles from us.
We sat outside when we came home and visited for awhile then the campground owner stopped by for a chat. They were having S'Mores at the campfire so we decided to go check it out. The co-owners are a couple with 5 children they home-school. One of the sons gave a presentation poem called "Cremation of Sam McGee." He did a great job! He told us it took him a couple of summers to learn it all.

The guys decided to go fishing again today while the weather holds out... they had heard the fish were leaving the fish santucary where they went yesterday. Bill got a couple of bites but lost them...maybe their luck will change today.

So that is about it for today so far....not sure what the rest of the day has in store for us but the wind is here...just like Ks! haha!!!

Until next time!
BJ
