We arrived in Solodotna around 2 yesterday afternoon. It rained on us most of the way here. By the time evening rolled around the sun was shining and the clouds were clearing.
It felt kind of nice to be in one place today and know we will not be moving and traveling long days for awhile. Today we cleaned the outside and inside of our rigs and spent most of the day just doing that and whatever else needed to be done.
On our way from Anchorage yesterday we drove along a highway that was along the coast and the mountains were on the other side of the coast. It was raining but they were just beautiful! They were all snowcapped and the clouds from the rain were hanging low! This is what our "vision" of Alaska would look like! When we turned on another highway our road became like Arkansas hills... twisting and winding and small "communities" along the way. The fisherman were really beginning to arrive and some were fishing.
The pictures I have hopefully posted were of the drive along the highway....
Well, that is about it for tonite!
Until next time!
BJ
