time to catch up again!

Hi everyone,

We are in Topeka getting here last Thursday traveling in the rain and wind....rain across from Great Bend to Emporia and then wind from Emporia to Topeka. But to catch you up on the past week.... actually it hasn't been a too exciting week for us.....

I had a pedicure from one of my "former" students who lived in Stockton and then remarried and moved to Claflin. It was great having a pedicure and also catching up with Lori.

We spent the next week or last week tucking the rig in daily and the dealership coming to get it and get things fixed on it. The heat pump/AC unit went out so they ordered a new one and it was delivered on Wednesday and they put it in the same day. (Sorry about the run on sentences!) We were finally finished Wednesday and left Thursday am in the rain. It really poured on us across from Great Bend to Emporia but once we got to Emporia the rain stopped and the south wind took over.... it seems it hasn't stopped blowing since last week..... We have forgotten how the wind blows in Ks and haven't missed it at all! But its back with a vengance!

A week ago Sunday my sister,brother inlaw ,my brother,sister in law, 2 aunts,cousins and us all met at Brookville Hotel for fried chicken and visiting. It was great seeing everyone and we enjoyed the evening with them all. A good way to catch everyone at once.... the fuel is so expensive and so it made it easier to get together that way. We also met our friends from Stockton for lunch in Russell that day so we really made the rounds.

After we got here Thursday we went over to see the kids and boy had they grown! Both the little boys have gotten so much taller and Brayden has lost 2 teeth!
Bryson is talking so much and his vocabulary still amazes us! They came over on Friday and spent the night with us while their mom and dad had plans. We woke to a rainy cold Saturday. Megan/Jeff came over on Saturday to spend some time with us. They all left by mid afternoon. Saturday afternoon late we decided to go to church and then out to eat supper.

Sunday we went to Lawrence to see Megan/Jeff and get some things from the shed. It seems we are either getting things out and taking other things back. We are going to be storing more things before we take our big trip soon.

We still don't have water here at our sites so we are having to hook the hose a long way to fill our tanks then use it until they are full... we had to get our blue toter on Sunday. They keep saying they are turning thewater on but we will see. Once the new RV park is open I know of about 5-6 of us fulltimers who will be going to it. This is crazy that some supervisor can be so stubborn! Enough said!

I began sewing this afternoon and made 2 tooth fairy pillows..... too late for the "first tooth" but they will be covered from now on! :) Now to get some more of my projects finished.

I had a dental appt. this am for a sensitive tooth thinking it was a cavity. X rays say its not... so now I go to a specialist on Monday and also have made a peridontal appt. for Thursday am..... I should be good for another 6 months I hope!
I am not having another root canal but will have it pulled and then go to Mexico for a bridge later..... stay tuned!

Well, that about catches us up for now.... we are trying to dodge the wind and hope the warm temps of spring decide to stay awhile...
