Good evening!
We spent the final few days in the Valley doing some last minute final shopping...like going to the Flea Market to get some fresh veggies to bring back to the kids... We went on Wednesday morning and the Winter Texan numbers were down. We heard some of the merchants say they were closing last Sunday.
We left early Saturday morning for Victoria,Texas. Traveling with us was John/Patsy from Wichita. Our friends, Ron/Nancy from McPherson and Jacque/Lynne from Quebec were coming later that morning..Ron/Nancy were bringing their cargo trailer with their motorhome so they would not be staying at the RV park we stayed at... We met up again in Thackerville, Ok on Sunday evening at the Winstar Casino..... the Casino is huge... we found out it was the second largest casino in the US.... and I think we walked the 1.8miles inside it trying to find a restaurant...they have 5! Each section of the casino is themed in a different part of the world,.... London, Paris, Bejiing, etc..... but still the machines are everywhere.... Toby Keith's new restaurant was there also. We decided to go to a Bar/Grill and couldn't find it so Patsy asked where it was....we could get to by taking the shuttle. The shuttle driver told us about another restaurant very close by and he was kind enough to take us there and said he would pick us up...so we did and it was wonderful! Not too busy and still on the Casino grounds. The RV park had 175 spaces with full concrete patios and they were huge! We will definitely go back there on our way to whereever! I don't think it had been open very long.
Monday found us having a beautiful day traveling north...no wind and the sun was shining! A perfect day for traveling! We stopped in Wichita to visit some friends at the park where we worked and then headed on north to "home">>>>>> Deer Creek Valley RV Park in Topeka. We arrived here about 5:30 that afternoon.
Monday evening of course we had to go see the kids and they were all glad to see us!
The 3 little ones had really grown over the past 3 months....of course Bryson had to show me how tall he was now by being able to jump and touch the top of the fireplace mantel! How funny! :)
Lauren wasn't quite sure of us but slowly warmed up to us...... She is jabbering away and trying to put words together.....
Tuesday we had some errands to run and get settled in here at the park.....
Megan came by for lunch Tuesday as Jeff was out of town...it was great to see her too!
Wednesday, Bill had the tires rotated and I shopped the mall... found a couple of things I needed and then we ate lunch and stopped at the grocery store.
Wednesday after Megan got off work she came by and picked us up so we could go eat Wednesday evening fried chicken at the Topeka Steak House..... every Wednesday they have a half fried chicken for $7.50.... it is delicious! Jeff was out of town so he couldn't join us! We have yet to see him but will see him this weekend.
This morning we were up and around very early as we had to be over at Erin's to babysit Bryson and Lauren as their daycare was closed for the next 2 days. We had a busy morning keeping them occupied! It was pretty nice outside but very windy....
We will be watching all 3 kids tomorrow for the day! We will be worn out for sure! haha!!! But we have a great time with them!
So that about catches us up for this time!
Until next time!
BJ
