Happy Valentines Day!
It has begun with a darn cold day! It was to get down to about 38 last night and I think it almost reached it! But the days ahead look lots warmer as the week goes on..... Hurrah!
Monday, we drove over to Homosassa Florida on the gulf coast. It was a gorgeous day and we spent the whole day over there ...about 30 miles or so. We rode with the 2 Joe's in our group and had a great time! We happened to be at the right place at the right time and drove over to apublic bridge close to some houses and canals and watched 6 manatees floating through.... so neat to see...they are huge and also just glide through the water...... so gentle! Then we drove on to Homasassa Springs Wildlife Center. We rode the tram and then found a small animal park where we walked around for about 3 hours or more looking at the animals of Florida..... so many different birds that darn... I can't mark in my book.....
But we also got to watch 6 more manatees being fed romaine lettuce by the case full! They are dining quite well besides the carrots and cabbage they eat too!
We then stopped by our friends Howard and Karen on the way home for a few minutes to see how they are doing.
Tuesday and Wednesday of this week since it wasn't nice out we just stayed around the rig and loafed so that is unexciting...... since it is Valentines day we are going out to eat at least but who knows where! Stay tuned!
So I will leave it like that for now...
