Is it Friday already and again? This week has really gone by fast.... although our time here is short we have had a good time! Yesterday our friend, Lynne, and my sister and I went to an outlet center about 40 miles from here. The outlet looked like it was just huge but so many of the stores have closed and there was only about 5 shops open! Pretty disappointing but thankfully .... they had a Koret outlet store and a Bon Worth so we did find some great bargains! My sister also found some shoes...... I hate to admit but she is more of a shopper than me! ..... I have to watch my space.... my side of the closet is almost as it is..... just don't tell my "DEAR hubby! :) ( I know he will read this and remind of that statement .... probably too darn frequently! ) But I did pick up a couple of things for our traveling north.....
They did not go out fishing today as it is cloudy and cool but there are several down trucks at the dock so someone must be catching something! Sandra/Jim took their camper to a RV repair place to see about having the elec. plugins looked at as they only have one plugin working. Hope its nothing too major! It's a brand new trailer!
We ate at a fish buffet last night for supper.... we told the guys we are about done cooking for the weekend! haha!!! They have a really good buffet and there was 12 of us....we had a nice time visiting....
So that is about it for today....no big plans today...waiting till they get back and see what the rest of the day will entail.... I need to do some straightening here but we may run up and get some diesel as it was cheaper at a corner gas station than others.....
have a good day!
Until next time!

Wednesday March 16
We have had a couple of busy days depending on who you ask I guess! Me...... my sister and I went shopping in Sherman,Texas yesterday and enjoyed the day although we didn't find many bargains. We must have hit it just right last fall when we were here but yesterday was a bust! Guess that is good for our pocketbooks!
The guys have been fishing every day and catching nothing....yesterday was a bust day too for them! It was sooo windy I don't see how they could have stayed on the boat but they gave it a try until around noon. When we pulled in yesterday afternoon from our shopping trip they were sitting around in a circle outside solving all the world's problems I imagine!
Today is kind of cloudy but fairly warm out..it is to be in the hi 70's today and tomorrow with some wind but hope it is nothing like we had yesterday!
Our friend's wife will be here today and we are looking forward to catching up with her and I'm sure he is glad she is on her way!
So that about catches us up for this time!
Until next time!

Monday March 24
Today I will finally catch you up on our travels. I will begin with a week ago Sunday the 16th....
We went to breakfast at the Legion with Joe/Bev and then went back to the park and just hung out for the day.
On Monday, March 17th:
We rode over to the Keys and caught a trolley to ride up to the tip of Anna Maria Island. We got off the trolley and looked around and walked out to the pier. Deciding to find someplace to eat and not finding exactly what we were looking for we got back on the trolley and rode down to Holmes Beach area but didn't go far enough! So back on the trolley and back up to Anna Maria and finally found a restaurant with a table outside so we could watch the ocean and the huge boats on the Tampa Bay. The day was gorgeous although somewhat windy. Then we drove to an Irish bar called "Clancy's" to meet Joe/Bev..... we found them fairly easy enough although there were about 250 people who were already drinking and we "Irish" haha!!! We had a good spot to sit and watch the people and the bands, singers and cloggers in the tent. We had found out our neighbor at the park who was a part of an Irish bag pipes group was playing there also. After staying for about 3 hours we decided to leave before it got too dark. That was a fun day!
Tuesday, March 18 we drove down to Siesta Key to look for some shark's teeth.... we couldn't find any and only found the beach was packed with about 1 million people it seemed! It was sooo windy so we didnt'stay long and came back to the park.
Wednesday, March 19 we went to the flea market and a store before we left. We got back around 11 and told Joe/Bev goodbye and left for Ocala. We decided to stay one night in Ocala since it was too storm at Bradenton on Thursday am. It was great to spend some time with Denny/Karen one more time.
Thursday am was a very pretty day for traveling and we got a good start on our journey north. We spent the night at a really nice RV park called Sunset King Lake in De Funiak Springs, Fl. We will have to remember that one because they hired work kampers and was soo nice although it would be cool to work there in the winter.
Close enough to Ft.Walton Beach and Pensecola.
Friday am we got an early start and met my sister/brother-law at Meridian, Miss. around 1. We then traveled together over to Jackson, Miss. Boy the roads in Miss. were horrible and bumpity bump we made it..... nothing was too upset inside the rig .... thank goodness!
We decided to go ahead and leave early and get to Texoma on Saturday so leaving Jackson at 7 AM we were back on the road....we were all exhausted even Sandra and I only co-piloted! We were glad to be here and even had spots for us.... thank goodness because they have a 1st come 1st serve policy here! So we are set for the week!
Easter Sunday we met our friends at a restaurant in Madill at a BBQ place that had a buffet for lunch. So we all filled our plates and left full! The rest of the day was spent just hanging out and relaxing! In the evening 5 of us played a new card game we learned in Florida called "golf"..... it was a fun evening.
So that is what we have been doing and hope you are all well...
keep in touch
until next time!

Sunday evening March 16
It's time to catch up again..... kept thinking all week long I would catch you up on our happening's but the time has gotten away from me! Bill is watching the Bracketology on tv so it's my turn on the laptop!
So I will begin with last Monday..... we started the day with some shopping and sticking around here most of the day..... we went to a "Happy Hour" here at the park and was introduced to lots of people .... no we don't remember names but the people were very friendly and we had a nice time.
Tuesday found us going to the post office and some errands then our friends came over and we found out they had some professional hockey tickets for us if we wanted to go..... of course! So we left a while later for Tampa via..... St.Petersburg, Treasure Island and then across to Tampa and the arena..... it was a really fun day and we really enjoyed watching them.
Wednesday we did go to the flea market and picked up some fresh fruit and produce.
We played Bingo at 7 and was surprised the hall was completely full! We didn't win anything but we like playing bingo and it was cheaper than in Estes Park.
Thursday we decided to go to the beach and ocean in the afternoon. After a couple of hours we all had had enough of the sun so came home. Friday, we worked around here and I got my ironing finally caught up!
Saturday, there was a corned beef dinner at the park hall so we went to that for supper and was to have a show after but they had to cancel so we went to Joe/Bev's for a while after we ate.
Sunday, we went to the Legion for the breakfast buffet and since it was foggy we changed our plans of the beach area to come home. It began to clear off, then Bev came over and we went to the new Publix grocery store! It was HUGE!!!!! Very nice store and I can't compare it to anything in Ks.! The prices we have noticed even in Walmart are beginning to show around here as the groceries are going up.
Our plans for tomorrow are to go to the beach and ride the trolley on the Keys......
stay tuned!
until next time

A few busy days
Good evening!
We are in Bradenton, Florida for a couple of weeks visiting some friends from Canada. We arrived last Thursday around noon ....it was a great day for traveling! No wind, not much traffic so it went by quickly as we only had a 2 1/2 hr. drive south. The park where we are is pretty nice and our site is very close to others... in fact our concrete patios are only about 5 ft. from our neighbors. We pulled in one way and they pulled in the other way. That close! It is a flat area so we are glad about that! Friday, we drove around some and they showed us where things were. Our laptop returned home so we stopped by and picked it up then on around again we went. Saturday am we decided to go to the flea market here...it is huge! I think its even bigger than the one at Market at Marion near Ocala. We didn't get near the way through it but will go back another day..probably Wednesday as the weekend is pretty full. I did pick up a jade plant and hopefully I won't kill it!
A huge storm came through Friday night and the rain and wind were horrible! The wind was really bad on Saturday and it seemed like we were back in Ks!!!
Sunday (today)we went to breakfast at the Legion here and then on to drive over to Longboat Key, the beach and a really swanky place called St. Armond Circle.... the scenery was gorgeous!!!! The houses are huge, the condos are huge and they are right on the gulf side of the bay. We walked around St. Armond Circle which is a circle of shops..... it was really neat to walk in and out of them. Then we continued on to over the bay to Sarasota and to an RV park our friends wanted to find out about. It was huge! It looked like about 1700 sites and they were very busy! We talked to a workkamper about a job for our friends and got info. for them.
Then we drove home. Bill and I grilled hamburgers for supper and took a walk around the park. It did get up to about 70 here today and it is supposed to get warmer all week! That will be great so we can go back to the beach sometime!
This area is just so pretty and nice! The bay is so pretty and the huge sailboats and yachts around is just what I expected Florida to be like! Now we can add the huge, gorgeous houses, condos we saw today! Amazing! The landscaping and then their rear view is the ocean! The waves were really rolling today and the flags were red but their were surfers trying their luck with wet suits on! I imagine the water was cold!
So that about sums up what is going on in our life here in Florida!
Until next time!

Wednesday March 5
The truck has a new cable running through it so we are good to go! It was even less expensive than B. was told so that is a good thing...... things like that come up and we have to have them fixed. We are just glad they were able to get it done on the day he took it in..... that doesn't happen very often.
Monday, Joe/Joanne and us drove to a town nearby to meet Howard/Karen and another couple they brought for BBQ lunch. We wanted to see them one more time before we leave here. We had a nice time visiting and enjoyed lunch. Hopefully we will see them again sometime down the road.
Tuesday was a kind of cloudy and rainy day..... also windy.... we spent the morning outside visiting with Denny/Karen's friends from Pennsylvania and then dodged the rain in the afternoon inside! Joe/Joanne and us went out to eat Mexican for supper then we watched American Idol for the rest of the evening.
Today so far is a clean up and put things away day. It is sunny but cool but a really nice day. I have cleaned inside and doing laundry and Bill is picking up and putting things away outside.... almost time for lunch and then we need to go to Walmart to get a few things and medicine.
We will leave in the am for our next leg of travel.... 2 weeks at an RV resort in Bradenton. We are looking forward to spending time with our friends from Canada.
So until next time!

It's March already!
Well, we are up and around this am early.B. has left to go to the Chevy dealership to see if we can get the truck's battery cable replaced. The battery has been nothing but trouble for awhile even with changing batteries he now thinks its it the main cable. Hopefully he can get it replaced and we will be in good shape.
We have had a couple of busy last few days and have a great time! Last Wednesday when writing last we spent the day around "home". It stormed that night and got pretty cool! Thursday the sun was shining but cool. I went to get a pedicure finally! My feet were getting bad and definitely needed the "professional" touch.
Friday am we (meaning...Joe/Joanne) and us drove to St. Augustine.....what a neat neat place! We all said we needed come back here to stay a few days and just explore this historic city! The weather was great! We rode the trolley for the day and got off and when we wanted but just lacked time to explore everything! We had a great day!
Saturday we hung around the rig for the day and went out to eat supper at an Italian restaurant called Carrabera's....it was very good but the service took a long time ....they were full the whole time! But great food!
Sunday we decided to go to Daytona to "Bike Week"....no B and I are not becoming bikers!!! haha!!! It is held every year at this time..... we got there in good time and found the parking garage and a good spot and began our walk to the Main street.
We walked out on the beach first and down to the blocked off street. The bikers were already there and more began showing up...... it was amazing! We had never seen that many bikers in one place! All types, sizes, kinds of motorcycles!!! And all shapes, kinds sizes of people too! We walked down the main street and looked at the bikes and people and then down the other side and saw more bikes and people and then walked along the beach again found the overwalk to get back to the parking garage. It was a fun day and now we can say we had been to "Bike Week"..... the weather..of course it was great!
So that about catches us up for the day..... we are meeting our friends for lunch about an hour from here for BBQ so best get going.....
Until next time!
